Good Things Come in Three’s

Making Headlines!

In preparation for NPE2018: The Plastics Show, Calframax hosted its own Open House on from April 10-12, 2018, featuring a BMB eKW55Pi/7000 hybrid injection molding machine and one of our high speed pail molds. Both the press and pail mold were shipped to Orlando, Florida for display at the NPE2018 show.  This mold went on to make a big impact on molders from around the world for its world class cycle time.  Both the press and mold being in high demand, were sold prior to the show.

Plastics News attended the Open House and then featured an article on Calframax outlining our presence at NPE2018 and our high speed tooling capabilities, as well as our company history and background.  To view the article, please follow this link.

NPE 2018 Success!

For the first time, Calframax attended NPE with our very own booth. NPE is the world’s leading plastic trade show conference that allows industry leaders such as Calframax, to attend and display our technology for tools that make industrial pails in record speed. We partnered with Krauss Maffei  and BMB (press manufacturers) to display two of our molds. One was a single cavity 5 gallon container mold, while the second was a dual cavity 5 gallon container mold.

These two molds run between 13 to 15 seconds per cycle, depending on the design of the pail and speed of the injection press. This means molders can make on average 26 percent more pails per year. These two molds gained quite a lot of attention as current and potential customers were able to to see how much extra product we could provide them per year without sacrificing quality. We would like to thank our partners Krauss Maffei and BMB for allowing use to showcase our tools in their very high quality plastic injection presses.
